Sustainability Pioneer Award

The pioneer award is given to an operator in the food industry that is a pioneer / leader in some aspect of sustainability; this could be novel product range, production methods, carbon management, water management, ethical sourcing, social aspects, etc. The operator must be able to demonstrate its pioneer position.

The winner of the 2018 Sustainability Pioneer award is Straus Family Creamery (USA). The runner-up is Lotus Foods (USA), and finalists are Bogawantalawa Tea Estates (Sri Lanka), and Nature’s Path Foods (Canada).
