Sustainability Pioneer Award

The pioneer award is given to an operator in the food industry that is a pioneer / leader in some aspect of sustainability; this could be novel product range, production methods, carbon management, water management, ethical sourcing, social aspects, etc. The operator must be able to demonstrate its pioneer position.

The finalists for the Sustainability Pioneer award, listed in alphabetical order, are Bogawantalawa Tea Estates (Sri Lanka), Lotus Foods (USA), Nature’s Path Foods (Canada), and Straus Family Creamery (USA).

The winner and runner-up will be announced at a dedicated Sustainable Food Awards reception on 7th June 2018. Winners will receive international coverage of the event and industry recognition of their sustainability achievements. Finalists and runner-ups also benefit from media coverage; they can highlight they are finalists and runner-ups in their marketing materials and corporate literature.
